Regional singer-songwriter Jamie Notarthomas will return to Buffalo to celebrate the music of Bob Dylan in recognition of Dylan's 67th birthday.

Jamie will perform a non-stop musical marathon taking requests throughout the evening as he has done once a year for 16 years straight in his hometown of Syracuse. He decided last year to try bringing it back to Buffalo, and the show was a huge success. So he returns again this year for what might become a tradition at Nietzsche’s.

Notarthomas acknowledges that “Out of well over 4000 shows I have performed, this was one of the funnest musical nights of my career. And, after five hours of playing without a break, the audience continued to demand more. I was joined by legendary Grammy Award Winning Drummer Steve Mitchell, who will also be joining us again this year.” Steve Mitchell won the 1976 Grammy Award for best studio musician. He has toured with Van Morrison, Phil Lesh and Mose Allison. He also did music for ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,’ and plays in a Francis Ford Coppola movie, as well as recording years of music for Peanuts and Jim Henson.

Notarthomas says that "Every year is like taking a vacation from myself and my own music to come out of it recharged for another busy season. Like many fans I started out pulling that curious thread to figure out Dylan and discovered there is no end to it; whether it is the civil rights anti-war folk music, the romantic balladeer poet, the prophetic and gospel side to the abstract beat era and back to good old Rock n Roll and blues.” This indefinable and influential artist will be well represented with a show that Dylan fans won't want to miss!

The show on Saturday May 24th will start at 9pm and welcomes all ages.
